I’m a fan of in-car drift videos. Exterior videos? Oddly not so much. Here’s a short clip that I like.
First, if you’ve never really been properly exposed to the Baja 1000, you absolutely need to see Dust to Glory. It’s a great watch.
Team EMW (East Meets West) from Greasecar Motorsports campaigns a classic beetle with a TDI engine that runs on veggie oil. Have a look at the great site they’ve got going.
I don’t follow off-road racing, but I wish them good luck. They seem to be doing just fine.

In case you haven’t seen it before…
As seen on 0-60mag.com (great magazine by the way – subscribe) this morning, this is a Chevy Matiz (non US) with an LS7 engine and a whole lot more. It doesn’t matter what you or anyone else thinks of the looks. Any on-road laughter is easily converted to “HOLY SHIT” with a simple flex of leg muscles.

Rims-N-Tires‘ calculator is the best I’ve seen. Do you know of a better one? Post it in the comments!

As both Casey and Greg at National Speed have put up their Dream Car lists, and as I have approximately 52 hours before being married, it seems fitting to do one too.
In no particular order:
What’s not to like about 2020lbs and 257HP?
The family car. This would start as a complete body-off restoration. Engine would somehow need to make 80HP more than stock to account for the sound-deadening material I’d add in order to make this a quiet cruiser ride. I’ve never really found a picture of one that looks exactly how I’d like it, but here’s a clean and simple restored example:

I’ve no idea who owns it and this is the only picture I have of it.

That covers my bases as well as I can determine right now. I’m too grounded.
Truth in 24 will air on March 20th at 8PM (I assume Eastern time).
“Truth in 24 dramatically captures the bid by Audi’s racing program to extend its nearly decade-long dominance of the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race, one of the world’s most fabled and grueling motorsports competitions. Although Audi had won seven of the previous eight Le Mans races, its chances were far from certain in the 2008 race due to impressive new competitor cars.”
