Truth in 24 available for free via iTunes Store

For those of you who haven’t heard yet, Truth in 24, the Audi Le Mans documentary is available for free in the iTunes store (just do a search). It’s excellent, so watch it!

It’s high RPM madness. Watch in-car footage of Tom Long (MX5) and Randy Pobst (Civic Si) duking it out in the KONI Challenge Street Tuner class at Homestead: YouTube. Their averaged total MPH differed by .001 seconds and the Civic ended up winning by less than half a second.

Carbon Fiber … Roll Cage?

No doubt requiring selling a kidney to purchase, Oakley Design (not that Oakley) has created the world’s first carbon fiber roll cage. It has been been TUV-approved (FIA approval in process). Congratulations to them, as this is a serious engineering feat. Source: The Real JDM

Fail: Harness mounting

What do you do when you’ve got a harness bar and a set of Schroth harnesses not meant for a harness bar? Surely you don’t sell the harnesses and get proper ones.
