Well, I have gaskets for the intake manifold and TGVs in place. I prematurely installed the intake manifold assembly and realized I could not get the coolant pipe (black, near the RHS head) in place with it on. So off came the intake manifold. After installing the coolant pipe I noticed it looked out of shape at the rear end of it. After referencing some older pictures of my previous work, I saw that it was in fact kinked pretty well. That’ll have to get replaced.

When I went to attach the coolant hard line to the oil heater (sits between the oil filter and block), I realized that the fitment of the hose seemed a bit off. Sure enough, the coolant inlet to the oil heater is also kinked and should be pointing up more. We’ll see about the cost on that. Given that 30-cent o-rings from Subaru cost about $9, I’m sure it won’t be pretty.
