We came across a company offering a metric “engine bay dress up kit” containing six M6×1.0 18-8 stainless steel screws and six stainless steel countersunk washers for $39. Staggered by such audacity, we looked into sourcing the exact same items for cheaper and found we could sell the same kit for $18 (they are pricey to source, even in bulk!). The other company has lowered its price to $22 lately.

The High-Roller M6×1.0 Fastener Kit contains:

• Six M6 screws with 1.0 thread pitch (18-8 stainless steel)
• Six countersunk washers (18-8 stainless steel). These are not the same hollowed-out “fender” washers you find at your local hardware store! Solid.

For Subarus WRXes and STIs, these can replace at least the following: the top edge of the fender on each side (6 total), the turbo heatshield screws (3?), the washer fluid tank (2), the front headlight mounting screw near the top of the fender (1 each side), the grounding screws (1 each side) at the sides of the engine bay.

Surely just about any other imported vehicle will have applications for them.
