Heat Shielding Deathmatch

Round Two: Ambient Airflow Allowed

A test rig was created to allow for open-air testing in the state-of-the-art Stage Infinity Laboratory (my garage). Ambient air was allowed through the fully open garage door on a very still day. Movement was generated by a 20″ box fan on its lowest setting and configured to draw air through the garage from the garage door opening (see diagrams). The fan was placed roughly 6 feet away and so that it was not directly inline with the test rig.

Temperatures were recorded for 5 minutes with heat applied to the copper pipe then for approximately 1 minute after all heating was stopped.

Conclusion

As far as I’m concerned, the products all function identically enough and purchasing decision boils down to cheapest cost. I encourage you to make your own judgment.
